Overview

The Department of Gastroenterology at Parvathys is devoted to the clinical care of patients with gastrointestinal disorders - both clinical and surgical. Our team comprises of dedicated specialists, nurses and medical technologists.

Clinical Gastroenterology

The Department of Gastroenterology provides consultations as well as performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients with gastrointestinal diseases. Our specialist doctors manage in-patients in a dedicated gastroenterology ward and provide both intra- and inter- departmental consultative services. Elective diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures are carried out at our Endoscopy Centre. A dedicated team of gastroenterologists is available for treating patients with upper or lower gastrointestinal bleeding.Together with the Intensive Care team, we provide the needed care for a timely recovery

Surgical Gastroenterology

Gastrointestinal diseases are evaluated with the use of abdominal scans and endoscopy. Abdominal scans include computed tomography (CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging, magnetic resonance cholangio-pancreatography, CT enteroclysis, CT colonography (virtual colonoscopy) and contrast studies.

Our specialists perform a high volume of endoscopic procedures annually. We endeavor to adhere to international standards of quality assurance in our daily procedures, so as to continuously achieve the best outcomes for our patients. It is our aim to provide specialised, cost-effective and high quality care.
